We would like to take this time to welcome our returning families, as well as our new families to the 2018/2019 Ringette season!
The South Calgary Board and volunteers have been working hard over the summer months getting us ready for this season!
As in previous years, Universal Athletic Assessment (UAA) is a mandatory component for every association in Alberta to have all players in U10, U12, and U14 participate in 4 standard and objective drills. Our UAA evaluations will occur on Monday September 3rd, 2018. Times have been scheduled and sent out. Game play evaluation times are also scheduled and will commence on Tuesday September 4th, 2018.
For players in Active Start and U10, we have implemented a more formal process for friend requests. The team will do their best at trying to accommodate 1 (one) friend request which must be a reciprocal request, but can not guarantee the request. Forms will be available online and at the Evaluation check in desks.
When it comes to tournaments, we are happy to announce that work is now underway on our Ava Esposito Memorial Tournament (Thanksgiving weekend), as well as our first ever tournament that will take place in December. We will require volunteers for these events to be a success, so please contact firstname.lastname@example.org if you are able to assist.
Like all sporting associations, volunteers are essential to make the organization operate smoothly and efficiently! Volunteering is also a requirement of your registration. This season, we have a large number of new volunteers filling positions in all areas of our association. We appreciate your time and thank you! For those looking for ways to volunteer, there are many vacant positions currently available, and becoming available. Please view our website for volunteer job descriptions, or contact our Volunteer Coordinator at email@example.com to inquire about these available positions.
On behalf of the South Calgary Ringette board, we would like to welcome all our players and families to the 2018/19 Ringette season!
